Are we living AI in medicine or is it yet to come, was the ground from where the discussion of the AI4VET4AI second webinar has developed. “AI in Healthcare – Tomorrow’s or Already Today’s Medicine” was held online on May 29, 2024 in cooperation of the project’s partners AFA as host, Arctur company (Slovenia) and Kelyon (Italy), experts in the field, who delegated speakers.
Dialogue of prominent engineers Samo Eržen and Marco Benedetto led to the conclusions that for the implantation of an AI in healthcare is the most important following triangle: data collection-forever human: AI factor combination-ethics respectance.
Dynamic discussion gathered a diverse audience from various fields, education, IT/tech sector, medicine, pharmacy, banking, and civil society, reflecting the project’s aim to gather stakeholders of relevance from different fields.
Current projects when it comes to AI in healthcare were revealed and opportunities that will arise, procedures for implementing AI in the healthcare systems were brought closer and it was emphasised importance of ethics while we are dealing with this important progress for a society.
This and more was elaborated by Samo Eržen, a senior Research Engineer at Arctur with MSc in informatics and M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering Marco Benedetto, a Solution Analyst at Kelyon, and Executive PhD student specializing in Big Data Management.
