On June 12, the beautiful city of Innsbruck hosted a major milestone in the AI4VET4AI project: the official two-year review meeting. Led by Algebra University, this Erasmus+ initiative brings together 26 partners from across Europe to integrate artificial intelligence into vocational education and training (VET) systems.
Hosted by our project partner MCI – The Entrepreneurial School®, the event created a space for open discussion, collaboration, and strategic thinking. It was an opportunity to highlight the collective progress made in developing AI-related curricula, training resources, and learning opportunities for both VET learners and teachers. The atmosphere was dynamic and constructive, with strong engagement from all participating institutions.
Over the past two years, AI4VET4AI has made significant strides in bringing artificial intelligence into vocational education and training. The project has produced a wide range of tangible outputs, including research-based recommendations, sector-specific curricula, teacher training materials, and awareness-raising initiatives across Europe.
To date, AI4VET4AI has delivered remarkable results:
- Over 80 awareness-raising events held across Europe
- 20 AI curricula developed for IVET and CVET
- 10 teacher training programmes created
- 30 real-life AI use-case scenarios
- A research report based on over 1,000 survey responses and 80 expert interviews
- A total dissemination reach of over 3.1 million people
As the project enters its next chapter, the focus shifts to the development, refinement, and piloting of sector-specific MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses). These courses aim to provide practical, accessible, and up-to-date training in artificial intelligence for both learners and educators across the VET sector. Building on the solid foundations laid in the first half of the project, the consortium is now working to ensure that AI4VET4AI’s learning content reaches classrooms, training centres, and learners across Europe – supporting the digital transformation of vocational education.
Stay tuned for the next chapter – and join us on our journey toward more inclusive, innovative, and AI-ready education.
