AI4VET4AI Massive Open Online Courses are around the corner and will be presented as a valuable educational tool during a webinar on Wednesday, 1 April 2026, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. CET. Discover what they offer within IVET and CVET pathways for artificial intelligence skills development and register here to take part.
This online session, held in English, will bring together perspectives from business and higher education through a discussion with project partners’ representatives: Martina Golob, project manager at Arctur; Alenka Pandiloska Jurak, associate professor at the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto (FIŠ); and Silvia Cosimato, associate professor at the University of Naples “Federico II” (UNINA). Speakers will explore the implementation and use of MOOCs for learning, teaching, and AI-related upskilling.
Participants will gain insight into how online courses are structured, from defining modules and learning units to developing a comprehensive syllabus, as well as the step-by-step process behind content creation. Special attention will be given to the role of industry partners, particularly in contributing real-life examples, and practical expertise that enhance the relevance and applicability of learning materials.
The session will also examine the broader value of MOOCs as a digital learning format, addressing key benefits as well as challenges and limitations. This will open a discussion on the future of learning in the AI era, the most effective approaches, and the importance of cooperation between industry and education in shaping relevant and impactful learning solutions.
The webinar, technically organised by AFA, is the fifth in a series of eight online sessions within the AI4VET4AI project, co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme. The project is coordinated by Algebra Bernays University in Croatia and brings together 26 partners from 11 European countries.
